Gli antichi registri cartacei dell’osservatorio meteorologico.

La vita svoltasi nell’osservatorio della torretta meteorologica di Montevergine ha una storia antica. Inizia nel 1884 ma si decise di iniziare a trascriverla in forma scritta solo nel 1946. Ma grazie al lavoro quasi certosino degli addetti dell’epoca sono state anche recuperate le informazioni degli anni precedenti dal 1884 fino al 1946 laddove è stato possibile reperire le informazioni da fonti sicure. Viene cosi descritta in questi registri la vita presso l’osservatorio fatta di storie aneddoti ed esperienze dei religiosi e degli innumerevoli scienziati, militari  ed operatori che nel corso degli anni si sono avvicendati sul posto. Il Direttore dell’osservatorio iniziò cosi a trascrivere tutte le informazioni che oggi possiamo leggere ed ammirare in questi registri in formato pdf scaricabili da qui cliccando sulle icone.

Un sentito ringraziamento va a Vincenzo Capozzi per l’opera di trasformazione dei registri cartacei su supporti informatici. Gli originali dei suddetti registri saranno consultabili nel futuro museo dell’osservatorio che sarà allestito nei prossimi mesi.

The life in the Montevergine  meteorological tower have an ancient history. Starts in 1884 but it was decided to begin transcribing it into written form until 1946.
